2001 Rookie of the Year!

Jimmy finished an amazing 9th in points at Fonda Speedway during his first full year in the Sportsman class, which earned him the title of Sportsman "Rookie of the Year".

Dannibles Engines in St. Johnsville once again built Jimmy his kick-ass motor this year!

Local star, Jim Burton is gearing up for the 2002 racing season. Jim has been very successful since he started racing eight years ago at the Fonda Speedway in the ProStock class. During this span, he has had 10 wins and has been very competitive each year. Mid-season in 2000, he upgraded to the Sportsman Class.

Along with his wife Maria, son Aaron and new daugher Taylor, his racing team is based in Rotterdam, NY. The crew members working on the car are Kyle Koch, Dave Balwit, Aaron Burton, Chris Smith, Patrick Smith and Eddie Kopper. Without these guys, I wouldn't be able to get out on the track!
